Programs

Three Arms.
One Stability System.

Housing, transportation, and resource navigation are not three programs. They are one connected stability system — because a neighbor without a ride can’t reach housing, and housing without follow-through doesn’t hold.

What a Stability System Looks Like

Three arms, one connected outcome.

The Programs

Housing. Transportation. Navigation.

“We don’t win by presenting alone. We win by putting veterans, VA operators, donors, and partners at the same table — and walking out with a plan everyone can execute.”

Housing Support

What it is. Direct-aid grants and landlord navigation for households at risk of housing loss.

Who it serves. Kansas City-area veterans first, then other vulnerable neighbors — households facing acute housing instability with a path to sustainable placement.

How it works at launch. Every request routes through the Get Help form; a program manager triages within two business days.

Subject to program capacity and current availability.

Transportation Services

What it is. Rides to medical appointments, employment, education, and essential errands — the trips that stabilize a household but which existing transit does not reliably reach.

Who it serves. Kansas City-area veterans first, then other vulnerable neighbors — anyone whose acute stability depends on a trip they can’t independently make.

How it works at launch. Request-based routing through the Get Help form; recurring rides scheduled by the program manager after intake.

Subject to volunteer driver availability and background-check clearance.

Who OSG Serves

Program eligibility at launch.

  • Kansas City metro veterans (primary focus) — initial service area, Missouri side of the state line at launch
  • Other vulnerable populations served as capacity allows (unhoused, at-risk families, elders on fixed incomes)
  • Households or individuals facing acute stability loss
  • Referrals accepted from community partners; direct requests accepted via the Get Help form

What We Are Not

OSG is not an emergency shelter, a rideshare service, or a licensed case-management agency. We connect neighbors to those services and, where our capacity allows, fund the direct assistance that removes the acute barrier. If you are in immediate danger, please dial 911. If you are in crisis, dial or text 988.
